Indian Ridge
Indian Ridge is located in the 192/Disney area of Kissimmee.
It is one of the closest communities to the wonderful Walt Disney World – within 5 minutes (if the traffic lights are with you!) and 3 miles south of the main gate.
There are around 500 homes within the community with the larger percentage being long term residents which gives you the feeling of “being” somewhere as opposed to a largely transient community. Because of this you will find homes with beautifully kept gardens and an abundance of landscaped flowerbeds and garden paraphernalia.
Of the rental homes available they are mainly 4 bedroom pool homes and generally on oversized plots. Most have larger than average gardens to the front and rear with little opportunity of being overlooked by the neighbours.
The charm of Indian Ridge is that the developer had a vision to include mile upon mile of walking paths and two very large parks that anchor the front and back of the estate. Over 20% of Indian Ridge is dedicated to shared park land.
For home owners and their guests, the main park near the entrance has 3 tennis courts, a very large enclosed community free form pool (3ft to 5ft deep), American and UK football fields, beach volleyball and a children’s playground. Children can enjoy one of the largest playgrounds in the area whilst parents will enjoy relaxing on the park benches.
There is also a second park further into the development with a large play area and children’s play set.
If golf is your pastime, you couldn’t be better positioned. The recently completed and exceptionally opulent Reunion courses have recently opened just 5 minutes away. Whilst not for the faint hearted (in terms of golf and price) the courses are phenomenal. Mystic Dunes (within Windsor Palms) is even nearer and a great public called Falcons Fire is only 15 minutes further a field.
The hustle and bustle of the 192 with all its shops and restaurants are 3 minutes away by car. For those wishing to seriously hunt out those special holiday purchases, there are several top class malls within easy reach. Mall at Millennia and the Florida Mall are both around 20 minutes away. Premium Outlet is around 15 minutes.
For daily essential shopping there is a Publix supermarket at Champions Gate. This is further south along the CR545 and no more than 10 minutes by car. As well as groceries there are several high quality restaurants including a great Chinese and Italian, together with a pizza delivery place and DVD/video games rental outlet.
Orlando International airport is only 30 minutes away, with Sanford around 50 minutes drive. Even Tampa airport is only just over an hour.
