Florida Mall (3)
Everyone visits Orlando, Florida for different reasons. For the kids, it’s the Theme Parks and the amazing thrill rides that they endure, unlike anywhere else they have ever been before.
For the Adults, it’s a little different. Sun, Atmosphere, Stress Release, Theme Parks and the most important Retail Therapy. Orlando as some of the best shopping available and the prices are amazing.
The Florida Mall on the corner of South Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Road as been one of our favourite shopping malls from the very first time we visited Florida. Ample parking, an abundance of shops to suit all tastes and a food court to die for.
The hardest quest you have when visiting the Florida Mall is deciding how much time to allow yourself to do your shopping. The Mall is very well thought out and organised to make your time there as easy as possible.
Stores for the kids (and parents of course) include The Disney Store, they always have some special offer on, so make sure you take a good look around. There’s also Build A Bear Workshop, great fun for the cuddly toy lover in the family and a superb gift for your children to treasure as they grow up knowing that they have made it themselves.
Stores for the adults are endless, the problem being you don’t have enough room in your suitcase on your journey home. Some of the best shops there include Ambercrombie, Dillard’s, JC Penny, Macy’s, Pottery Barn, Sears, Gap and Billabong. The list goes on, with around 260 stores to visit, make sure you have your comfiest shoes on!!
Need to contact home whilst on holiday? There is also a cyber café, prices are very reasonable and the surroundings are very pleasant.
The food court as a vast variety of different foods available. From simple hot dogs to Japanese Sushi. You are spoilt for choice but there is definitely something there for every different taste. Fancy something simple? Try Chilli Cheese Fries, New York Style Sandwiches, or just good old KFC
Look out for the Sales, you will be amazed, The prices are low compared to the UK to start with, but when the sales are on, they become RED HOT. Their biggest sale day is the day after Thanks Giving, this is known as black Friday. But be prepared to get up early and queue for what you want. Some stores open at 5am and the queues can be an eye opener. Especially for Electronics and Computers, as they have some crazy bargains on these items but only for short periods of time.
