Shopping in Orlando Florida part 1
One of the most popular pastimes for British visitors especially for first timers to Florida has to be the superb shopping at the many factory outlets and the fantastic shopping malls.
The first time we ventured to a so called factory outlet was to the then new Lake Buena Vista outlet, we were at first a little sceptical due to so called factory outlets in the UK being very poor efforts all selling off poor quality or defective goods.
But we were very pleasantly surprised when we pulled in and saw the range of shops that were open there, for anyone with young children the sight of an Oshkosh B'gosh Superstore was of a great interest!
We entered the shop with some trepidation as this is a well known quality brand that is known for being expensive in the UK, the range of items was huge but more importantly the prices were so cheap once we had done our sums and converted the $dollar prices into £pounds sterling.
Although our children are now older teenagers but we still visit Osh kosch for clothing for the grand children and friends, as the clothing is such good value compared to home.
Other notables at Lake Buena Vista is Vanity Fair where you can pick up some real bargains in many brand names such as Lee jeans etc, just across the road is the excellent GAP and the Sports store Reebok along with a few other large shoe stores selling many brand name shoes and trainers at very very low prices in comparison to the UK
One of the other must visit outlets is Premium Outlet which is very easy to find off International Drive or the I4, there are lots of stores in this outlet, many of them are the Designer stores such as, Ralph Loren, Burberry, Timberland and my wife’s favourite Nine West Shoes, she spends AGES in that shop.
All shops are located in a circular layout with a food hall central so you can always get a drink or a bite to eat.
Along with the designer labels there are several large sports stores such as Adidas, Reebok, Puma and Nike, these sports store sell top quality perfect items although some may be the end of line styles and possibly last years styles but the choice is amazing especially in the area of training shoes.
If you’re a keen runner or other specialist sports person you will know the models of trainer that you are looking for and you will more than likely find them, or if you have kids that do sports at school you can buy all the gear they will need for quite some time and save a lot of money on the UK prices.
