Shopping for bargains in Florida Mall - Part 2
After I return from putting my first batch of shopping in the car, I head for Dillards. I generally head off to the Gents Department, where I can find all the designer shirts, golf shirts, trousers and shoes at wonderful prices. I also make my way to the outer walls of the department to find the really good bargains. When I know I have got the things I want, I wander off to the Children’s Department to find clothing for my two grandchildren. They also have fabulous bargains in designer labels that cost a fraction of the UK prices. I always stock up with Christmas and birthday present for all the kids I buy for. Shopping would not be complete for me without visiting the handbags and shoes, so after inspecting every bargain bag and trying on numerous shoes, I usually find I have ended up with several more bags. To complete the Dillards experience, a visit to the Perfumery and Make Up department is a must. There are always offers on with either Ester Lauder, Lancombe, Clarins, and many others. This usually involves spending roughly $35 and you then receive a free gift which normally would be a bag with several items of make up in which comes in very handy and again, is about half the cost of the UK offers.
It is now time to stroll along the Mall and wander into the odd shop here and there, especially Bath & Body Works. There products are all excellent, and they always have special deals on. If lucky you will find a bigger sale than normal when they are selling off old stock of liquid soaps, candles, lotions, make up etc. On top of the discount, they give you another voucher when you pay for further discounts on your next visit.
After all the shopping it is time to visit the hairdressers where I spend a nice quiet hour before picking all the bags up and heading back towards the Food Mall. My last stop is usually Ruby Tuesdays. They have an excellent salad bar, and I generally end up just having soup and salad. You can visit the salad bar as many times as you wish, and with the soup as well, it is not long before I feel full, happy and contented. All I have to do now, is get back to the car, and head for home to unpack all my purchases. After trying all the things on again, I usually find there is something I wish to return to the store – but hey – that’s the idea – another visit to Florida Mall will come sooner than I thought! !
