Shopping in Orlando,Florida part 2
Another outlet area is the Beltz factory outlets these are located at the top of International Drive and have lots of more upmarket designer shops such as Liz Claibourn, Polo, Anne Taylor etc, this area is particularly good for the women in the family as they can buy lots of designer label items at greatly reduced prices from the UK
My only criticism of Beltz is the fact that it is not all grouped together so that you can’t simply walk around like all of the others, it is in smaller units although you can easily drive from one unit area to the next although don’t be put of by this as it’s a very minor criticism as there is a superb range of top level shops to visit.
Another favourite on mine is the Festival Bay although this mall is not completely filled up yet there are some great shops there 2 being Ron Jon’s Surf Wear and Outdoor World, I personally thinks its worth going to celebration just to visit Outdoor World which has to be seen to be believed, the store is simply massive and you can buy anything from a fishing hook to a speed boat.
If your into fishing this is the place for you as they even have an area with a full sized tank for you to test the actions of any rods that you might like to purchase.
Ron Jon’s is a great surf shop they have everything from a key ring to full sized surf boards, if your into surf wear then this is the place to go for sure, my youngest son bought around 6 surfer Tee shirts on our last visit and while they can be more expensive than the sports wear they are still much cheaper than at home in the UK.
One last thing about celebration is that Frudruckers Burgers is located at the entrance and for the brave of you can try the 1lb burger which is simply huge and there is a indoor Vans Skate board park which if your into skates or skate boards is superb according to my 17 years old son.
The Florida Mall is not far away from Festival Bay and is a typical clean American mall with some of the big chain stores such as J C Penny, Macy’s and Sears just to name a few with a total of 253 shops all under 1 roof. There is also somewhere to eat in case you get hungry with lots of great choices for food, one of the best in this area, this mall is popular with locals as well as tourist.
Next is The mall at Millenia which has 1.2 million square feet of the best national and international retailers in the world again with some of the name chain stores such as Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Burberry etc, both the Florida Mall and Millenia tend to be a little more expensive than the factory outlets but sell and much wider range of items, price are still very competitive when compared to the UK.
There are many more places to shop but these are a few that we have visited many times and speaking from a mans point of view, shopping in these places can be fun rather than the sort of shopping back home in the UK, even the kids like to shop in Orlando, Amazing!!!
