ORANGE TREE a great place to stay
You can find this community easily as it is about a mile and a half north from the western end of Hwy 192 heading in the direction of Clermont on Hwy 27.
One thing that strikes you as you drive up Hwy 27 is the Tower at the entrance to Orange Tree. and the line of orange trees that lead you up to the main entrance.
When the trees are in full fruit it gives a real flavour of the area of this Sunshine State renouned for it’s citrus production.
Set in its own five acre manicured grounds just 8 miles from Disney Main Gates, this delightful community provides the best of both worlds: close to all the theme park 'action', shops and restaurants, but tranquil and private, providing the ideal location to relax, swim and soak up that wonderful Floridian sunshine
Orange Tree is one of Central Florida's most well cared for new communities. Our Home Owners Association takes an active interest in retaining high quality services to ensure gardens, communal areas are cared for and maintained regularly.
Surrounded by orange groves, Orange Tree provides a wonderful environment where access to on-site Tot-lots, Tennis courts, Basketball Courts and a Soccer pitch is but a couple of minutes walk away.
Orange Tree homes are on larger than average plots and this offers you space to relax and enjoy that “on holiday” feeling.
Some mornings, if you are an early riser you get the opportunity to see some of the local wildlife. I always take my binoculars and have seen eagles, heron, egrets, sandhill cranes and other birds native to Florida. Wild boar, racoons, armadillo and other creatures have been seen and are best observed and enjoyed from a distance.
A real treat is to watch HOT AIR BALLOONS float overhead. Sometimes they land in the large open area in the centre of Orange Tree …. . a rainbow of colour descending silently.
I also love to visit Lake Louisa State Park. Only 5 minutes drive north from Orange Tree this beautiful and unique area offers visitors swimming, hiking, bird-watching, fishing picnic areas and sailing . Wildlife is present all year round for nature watching enthusiasts to enjoy
If you enjoy golf you'll love Orange Tree. There are 20 golf courses within twenty minutes drive of the community including five championship courses in the Disney Resort area alone.
Most of the courses are open to the public, requiring no membership, only the payment of green fees. Orange Tree guests can profit from “Special Rates” for a round of golf at 2 local golf courses not more than 5 miniutes drive from “home”
So whether you are in Orlando for the theme parks, golf, shopping, or to enjoy a well-earned break in the sun, Orange Tree offers you the perfect location.
