Villa V Hotel
When deciding to holiday in Florida the choice of accommodation is vast.
We started holidaying in Florida back in 1985 then Villas were just starting to be built but not so readily available.
We chose a hotel then the main option was Kissimmee, My Parents were well travelled in the US so we did not book through a local travel agent but rather took their advise and booked a hotel they had stayed in. Whilst we had a wonderful time we did have a room with our two daughters, and for a three week stay towards the end things were a bit cramped, although over the years it did not stop us from travelling to The U. S. and staying in a hotel.
In 1992 we found out a friend of a friend (you know how it goes) had recently bought a villa and whilst he was not renting it out did say we could stay in it.
As we were travelling around we would only be in the Disney area for one week so we stayed in his villa what a revelation! Not only could our two daughters have a bedroom of there own we could have our own privacy. We also had a sitting room as well as all the kitchen facilities.
I have got to say whilst on holiday (even in my own villa) I do not cook but just to have a light breakfast and make a cup of tea when you wanted was good, and if you wanted to cook everything was at hand to do it. Also at night after visiting the parks the girls would go off to their bedroom and watch the TV station of their choice whilst my self and husband could just relax ourselves
It certainly put a different light on holidays so much so we bought our first Florida home.
So whilst saying in a hotel is good the freedom and space you have staying in a villa completely changed how we have a holiday.
So to sum up our opinion of Hotel V Villa as we see it a hotel room is just that a room but a villa has all the convenience and space that you would need you can get up when you like, take a dip in the pool when you want, ect. If you book direct with an owner you know exactly what you are getting especially from this site as all the villas have to be validated every 6 months.
