Universal Halloween Nights.
Over the years, I have found that many of my guests do not realise that the Universal Halloween nights run through september and october (on selected nights)
Well they most certainly do and at the foot of this article I will list the dates.
If the Disney Halloween nights are fun and tame the Universal experience is the antithises! Definitely not for smaller children or the faint hearted.
However, what it is is amazing, thrilling, heart stopping and awesome!
So what is new for 2011? Well, ' The Thing' is what we will all be flocking to see. ' The Thing' comes to life and can transform into any living being.
Those movie buffs among you will know that ' The Thing' is Universals latest horror film and stars . Judging by the clips I have seen you will not sleep for a week when you see the whole movie.
This year they are promising that the nights will be more scary than ever (is that possible) and it has been a full 12 months in the planning.
The Universal ghost houses at Universal are legendery and this year there will be a haunted mansion. This is a supposedly abandoned asylum- unfortunately the ex residents are hanging around!
The fast moving show is never to be missed and this year it is ' Bill and Teds excellent Haunted Adventure' This is always a fast moving show packed full of cultural references (some of which are lost on us Brits)
They put the norm on its head so fairy tales become horror stories and the clowns are evil. Expect the unexpected is the order of the day (or night)
General admission costs $81. 99 (and worth every cent) but there are many multi day offers up to 20 nights. If you upgrade your park admission ticket this costs only $36. 99.
The dates for 2011 are all the nights from the 23rd of september except 25th to 28th of sep, 3rd to 5th oct and 10th to 12th, 17th to 18th and 24th to 25th.
The park hours start at 6. 30 pm and end at midnight some nights and 1 pm or 2 pm others.
If you have small children or nervous people in your party you may like to think of going to Disney instead. Best nights to visit are monday to thursday inclusive and you are not alowed to go in any kind of costume.
