The Loop Shopping Experience
Situated at the junction of John Young and Osceola Parkway are the twin locations of The Loop and The Loop West, providing a shopping experience that will fill a couple of hours or a full day and which, because of its location , can easily be combined with a trip to The Florida Mall for a serious shopping experience.
The Loop, home to 70 stores, 5 restaurants and a cinema complex is all open air and pleasant to walk around when the weather is not too hot. There is plenty of parking and you have the option of moving your car as you hop from location to location or leaving it in one place. However, if moving between The Loop and The Loop West it is probably advisable to move your vehicle as crossing the busy road is not easy.
Within The Loop there are several large stores – Kohl’s, Michaels, Sports Authority and Bed Bath and Beyond are amongst the familiar names and there are also many , smaller more specialised retail opportunities, Pier 49 imports, Yankee Candle, Kirkland’s home and Avon cosmetics to name but a few.
If you are hungry, Johnny Rockets is worth a visit. A fifties style diner, complete with table jukeboxes and a counter or table service, which serves burgers, fries and ice cream sodas, and where, at periods throughout the day, the servers in their fifties style dress will burst in to song and perform a group number. If this culinary experience is not to your liking, try Romano’s Macaroni grill, Chilli’s or for a lighter bite, Panera Bread.
If you are looking for spot of entertainment at the end of your shopping trip, The Loop is home to Regal Cinema 16 , this state of the art 16 screen cinema complex has stadium seating and digital surround sound, and features all the latest releases.
Moving to The Loop West you will find a further choice of stores; J C Penney’s, TJ Maxx, Belk and Beales are the larger outlets. There is a good bookstore complete with Joe Muggs coffee shop and Ulta Cosmetics where you can treat yourself or pick up some great gifts.
On the dining front you will find BJ’s Restaurant and Brew house, fantastic pizza features here, Abuelos Mexican Restaurant, or, our absolute favourite, The Bonefish Grill.
The Loop West is also home to a small children’s playground to give the toddlers a break from shopping.
The Loop and The Loop West are open Monday to Saturday 10am - 9. 30am and Sunday 11am – 6pm, although the cinema and restaurants, in general, have extended opening hours.
