Posner Park - First Block
Posner Park is a new shopping development that opened in 2008 and will eventually have homes and leisure facilities as well as shops. However for now it is a great place to shop for anyone staying on the 27 or around the Champions Gate area. It is just south of the junction of the I4 and the 27.
As you go in there is a Mattress Firm, a subway , Taco Filler and a coffee shop, Camille' s that offers a good range of tasty snacks including salads, sandwiches and paninis. The first large store that might be of interest to visitors is Dick' s Sporting Goods. They offer quality goods and have particularly good ranges of fishing gear and golf clubs. They do have sports shoes and clothes but the prices really don' t compete with the outlet stores elsewhere. If you are a tennis player you might want to stock up with tennis balls as Slazenger Wimbledon balls were only $4 for a tube of 4 when I last visited (December 2009)
Next comes Ross with the slogan “Dress for Less”. They have sales goods; often end of line from well known names. As well as clothes they have some good household ranges including rugs, and bedding. If you are over 55 then it pays to shop on a Tuesday as you will get a discount. It is very easy to take things back there if you find you have made a mistake.
Payless Shoes comes next and they currently have an offer of buy one pair get one pair half price.
If you are into arts and crafts you will love Michael' s which offers everything an artist a knitter or a sewer could want.
The Dollar Tree is exactly what it says on the front – everything is a dollar. They offer food and groceries as well as kitchen and cleaning equipment. Some things are obviously of questionable quality but branded goods for a dollar has to be a good buy.
CiCis' s Pizzas offers you somewhere to sit while you are considering your shopping and also offers a take away service.
Pet Smart has a grooming parlour as well as the large, pet store so if you want to indulge your pampered pooch or other pet it is a great place to go.
There is a beauty parlour to enhance your exterior and a whole food store to keep you well.
Right at the end of the block is a Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar. I haven' t tried it yet it looks interesting and they do offer a lunch menu.
