Why Florida?
Well why not; year round sunshine and the ever-falling costs of transatlantic flights tempt millions of us each year to visit this wonderful place. The wealth of choice available makes it an ideal choice whatever you are looking for.
Of course Disney being the main attraction for families with the wonderful theme parks and water parks are a great pull. Everything on such a big scale and they really are a must do for any age group.
The beaches are stunning and within an hour you can be on the gulf coast and visit Clearwater or st.pete’s or the space coast enjoying the fabulous beaches of Cocoa with its miles of pure white sands.
While that way on why not visit The Kennedy Space centre or if you are lucky enough you could see a shuttle launch.
Florida is also home to a multitude of state parks including Merritt island where not only can you see wildlife at it’s best but they also have Camping, Boating, Boat Ramp, Canoeing, Fishing, Horse Trails, Nature Trails, Picnicking, Showers, and Swimming. These state parks are dotted all around Florida and really worth a visit.
Then of course there is the golf
Being one of the top golfing destinations Florida is home to some of the best golf courses in the world, and with year round sunshine it's no wonder that some of the leading golfers have homes here. To name just a few Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Vijay Singh, the list goes on......
There are over 150 courses within 45 minutes drive of downtown so plenty to choose from and prices in Orlando are extremely reasonable, discounts are often available on twilight golf and many golfers prefer this time as temperatures are beginning to cool down. Carts are often included and refreshments offered so why not pack those clubs and bring them along the next time you visit.
And whilst the men are off enjoying their favourite pastime then why not enjoy yours,
Shopping of course, with shopping malls like Florida mall and the mall at millennia you could easily while away a few hours and lighten your wallet. The mall at millennia is my personal favourite and if you like your designers then this is the place One section of the mall houses some of the most up market designer labels such as Cartier , Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Tiffany & co and Louis Vuitton along with Bloomingdale’s at one end and Macy’s at the other. Of course there are a multitude of other outlets and really something for everyone.
Of course there is nothing like having a soft top and cruising along to see some of the neighbouring places such as west palm beach, Boca Raton to name but a few, there is just so much to see.
Last but not least FOOD Florida is home to some of the best restaurants in the world, with so many to choose from and such a variety on offer you are really spoilt for choice but you are sure to enjoy them and you will all have your own favourite.
