More about Universal Studios
Men in Black Alien Attack is one of my favourite if not my favourite ride in Universal Studios, not only do the adults like this ride but the kids will also. You undergo training which includes riding through an alien strewn town, but best of all you have an alien zapping gun and you can shoot as many aliens as you can through out the ride, you can compete against your family and friends as the scores are kept ! This is great fun for the big kids like me especially when you’re an ace shot ……….. Well all Dads are!!!
Just around the corner is one of the older rides in the park “Back to the Future” whilst this ride may be a little dated and some of the younger children may not have even seen or know of the film this ride really is excellent
As you climb into the Delorean and chase “Biff” around the planet going back through time you get thrown around quite a lot but the ride is really worth a visit as you fly around through various places including going back in time with the dinosaurs.
Not far along from the back to the future is a show called the Rocky Horror Show. Now this is not the show that you might imagine by its name, this is a show which shows how some of the creatures and special horror effects have been created over the many years of films, this show really is worth the visit as it is presented in a comedy style and is very funny to watch even the young kids will enjoy it, but beware a volunteer will be required for some demonstrations.
Next is the best show in the whole of the park, Terminator 2 3D, this is definitely not to be missed at any cost as it really is a superb, you are taken into a theatre where the representatives of Cyberdine Systems show you a display of their new technology including their Terminators Series 1
Before long the theatre undergoes and attack and some unwelcome intruders abseil from the roof and try to warn us all about the catastrophe that the Cyberdyn Systems will cause including the destruction of the human kind, it sticks quite closely to the them of the film and it’s not long before Arnie turns up with his Harley Davidson bike
The effects combine real live actions and some great film scenes featuring some really cool 3D film effects, courtesy of the 3D glasses that you pick up on the way in to the show. This is without doubt the best show in the park and is very popular.
Universal is definitely a great place to visit the rides are themed a little more grown up than the Disney rides and there are lots more to see and do than I have been able to mention in this review.
