Eating out in Orlando, plan ahead and save money.
Eating out when we are in Florida is a major part of our holiday and we love to plan which restaurants we will eat in during our trips. We have a few favourites that we like to visit on a regular basis such as Red Lobster, Outback, Logan’s, Macaroni Grill, Columbia restaurant and the Market Street Café in Celebration, but we also like to try new places.
One of the ways we like to find out more about new places is to visit their websites. Most of the major restaurant chains have websites so that you can search for the location closest to where you are staying. Many of them also have the full menu that is available at your “local” restaurant so you can decide if there is something that you would like to eat before you make what could be a long journey for nothing.
We have also found several that have loyalty clubs that you can sign up for. These sites will email you whenever they update their menus or if they have special offers on but here’s the good bit they will often email you money off coupons or special “members offers”.
Up to now some of the sites we have signed up for are Applebee’s – they send regular menu up dates and notification of any special offers, you can view their menu online although there are no prices. Don Pablo’s – You receive a special members card that lets you collect points which earns you free appetisers, entrees etc after a certain number of visits you also get occasional free gifts such as “buy one appetiser get one free”. Red Lobster – Regular newsletters announcing new menu items or special offers along with occasional money off coupons especially on your birthday, (make sure your birthday is around the time you usually visit Florida! ). Sweet Tomatoes- they send regular menu updates and notification of special events plus money off coupons throughout the year and on your birthday. Texas de Brazil – Lots of money off coupons especially around holiday times, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving etc. Olive Garden – Regular menu updates although no money off coupons to date.
I’m sure there are more that we have signed up for but I have forgotten and lots of restaurants that are not on our favourites list that also offer membership to their clubs. If you have a favourite restaurant just have a look on Google or the like to see if they have a website and if they do check if they have a “club” that you can sign up to. At the very least it will get your mouth watering in anticipation of your next visit and it might even save you a few dollars off your next visit.
