Disney Pirate and Princess Party
Tickets are now on sale for this new Disney Party, which will take place on 13 nights from January 22nd to March 8, 2007. Friends of ours have just booked as their daughter has her 6th birthday on one of the dates.
This sounds great fun being after-hours event at Magic Kingdom. Dreams of becoming a young buccaneer or pretty princess can come true during the new Disney's Pirate & Princess Party.
Tickets for these nights are $36.95 plus tax (ages 10 and over) and $29.95 plus tax (ages 3-9). Our friends have booked theirs in advance and I would think this is advisable rather than just turning up and having a very disappointed child!
Party nights are from 7.30pm – 12.30am and are as follows:
January. 22nd, 26th, 29th.
February 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 23rd, 26th
March 2nd, 5th, 8th
Families are given an adventure map and treasure pouch as they embark on a quest for colourful beads, chocolate doubloons and fun throughout the Magic Kingdom theme park. They explore Magic Kingdom on a quest for pirate coves and princess courts brimming with especially themed entertainment. They also participate in character meet-and-greets and experience some of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions open throughout the evening. If this is anything like the Scary Halloween evenings the children will have a great time running from attraction to attraction especially later in the evening, as there are very few queues. Guests are invited to dress up as a wily pirate or favourite Disney princess. I really do think this will be a very colourful spectacle.
There will be two new entertainment spectaculars:
Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade features a new 39-foot-long raucous pirate ship overflowing with swashbuckling adventurers, plus a treasure-filled float with Captain Jack Sparrow himself. The colourful cavalcade will move down Main Street, U.S.A. with the twirling Jolly Roger Flag Corps -- plus royal knights on horseback, court dancers and a regal processional of Disney princesses and princes.
Magic, Music and Mayhem is a fireworks display orchestrated to an original musical score, and this will light up the nighttime sky.
In Adventureland Captain Jack Sparrow leads a pirate tutorial offering young buccaneers sword fighting tips; plus a chance for photos with Jasmine and laughs with the Genie. I can imagine boys spending a lot of time here.
A fish called Flounder and crazy crab Sebastian are in Fantasyland and hold an "Under the Sea" dance party, and meet-and-greets with Ariel.
In Toontown Court musicians and strolling jugglers hail princesses Cinderella, Belle and Aurora in a princess pavilion. Pirate Mickey and Donald invite guests to step right up and try their luck at carnival games in a themed play area.
If they visit Frontierland the singing sensation Riverboat Roulettes lure guests to a haunted riverboat where the ghost of Jolly Roger spins tales amidst magicians and more.
Tomorrowland invites young guests to meet a space pirate, boogie down at Stitch's cosmic dance party, and enjoy break-dancing pirates and other entertainment.
This all really sounds like a fantastic evening for the younger children and I suspect for their parents!
