Discovery Cove Visit
A once in a life time experience to interact first hand with one of the most intelligent creatures on earth awaits you at the most fantastic of all Orlando’s attractions. . . . Discovery Cove.
This theme park offers you and your family a more luxurious and intimate experience of marine and tropical life. It can be quite simply a dream come true for anyone with a wish to swim with dolphins.
Discovery Cove limit places to just 1000 guests and you have to pre book your tickets. The park is never crowded because of this rule and you have the feeling that you are on a very quiet and exclusive tropical island. Everywhere you look the landscape is gorgeous. A mix of tropical plants, flowers and foliage, mingled with water features and craggy rock formations make you unaware that you are still close to the outside world.
You don’t have to swim with the dolphins, indeed if you choose not to it can make your visit considerably cheaper. You’ll have chance to interact with fascinating rays, snorkel amid thousands of colorful fish, hand-feed exotic birds, explore lush greenery, and relax on pristine beaches. It is true family time with no loud music to distract you all from conversation and laughter.
From the moment you ‘check-in’ you’ll feel very looked after. The ratio of staff to guests is almost 1-1. You will be given a pass which allows you access to the whole park, as well to unlimited food, drinks and snacks. Everything is all- inclusive. The food on offer is amazing and you can eat and drink as much as you wish to. You will be given a choice of full wetsuit or just a jacket to wear when you are interacting with the marine life. At other times, such as swimming in the beautiful resort pool and waterfall, or going down the lazy river, you can just wear your usual swimwear.
Our favourite activity is a wonderful lagoon full of tropical fish where you can snorkel and view the fish as if you were swimming in the sea. You will even encounter sharks, although they are cleverly behind glass but you may get a shock when you snorkel up to them for the first time! The water can be chilly but you soon don’t notice
You can also wade in the ray pool among simply huge rays – they can be a bit scary when you first see them! ! But they are very gentle and it is quite a moving experience to be so close to these majestic creatures.
There is so much to delight at Discovery Cove and you will feel very special throughout your visit.
