Coconuts on the Beach.
Coconuts on the Beach describes itself as a party deck kind of bar and indeed that is just what it is.
This is a very casual bar where you can also grab something to eat. Of course what makes this bar really special is the awesome view. You will often spot a porpoise and if you are around at the right time some days of the week you can see the cruise ships sailing out to The Bahamas and The Caribbean. Don' t forget to wave!
The cruise ships sail out of Port Canaveral which is very close to Cocoa.
Every night there is a different live entertainement act and currently there are nightly drink specials.
Monday night is Margarita night, tuesday Rum Punches, wednesday Woo Woos, thursday Ice Pinks and fridays Island Ritas. All these drinks are $5. 75 and come in a souvenir glass. This is a good reason to schedule your visit on a weekday.
If you have a raging thirst then maybe a long cold beer is in order and they have a daily special bucket of beer.
Monday is Corona night, tuesday Landshack, wednesday Heineken, thursday Buds and Coors and friday Red Stripe.
These buckets cost $10 except on thursday when they are only $8.
During these happy hours they also have the 35 cent wings to nibble on.
If you decide to eat here then the starters include Smoke House Fish Dip ($6) Can cun Quesilladas ($7. 50) Seared Tuna with field greens ($8) or Pot Sticker Pork Dumplings ($8)
Now onto the mains; it would be hard to pass on Bahamian Lobster Tails ($24) but Coconut Crusted Shrimp ($16) are always a treat also; these come with a coconut curry sauce.
Twin Crab Cakes ($17) come with a lime mustard sauce or remoullade.
There is always room for pud and you can choose from 3 crowd pleasers here.
There is cheesecake ($4) three layer chocolate cake ($4) or Key Lime Pie($4) Since we are in Florida it has got to be the Key Lime Pie, surely? Or you could all order something different and share them out.
Lunches are served from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. and dinners from 5 p. m. to 10 p. m.
For those of you not in the know, Cocoa Beach is the closest beach to Orlando so feasible for a day trip or a night out. Taking into account the location of your holiday villa , it will take you just over an hour to get there.
