Often asked questions part 2
Can I book 2 or more villas together?
This is usually asked by people who think that Orlando Villas are a management company that run all the villas on behalf of the owners. This is not true. All the owners advertise independently on the site and we do not know what other villas are near us and with whom they advertise. Some are not even rentals but Florida residents. There may be an owner who knows personally another owner nearby, but as most of us are based in the UK and do not know each others UK addresses it would not be possible to co-ordinate a rental with them.
Where can I eat on Thanksgiving Day?
More and more restaurants these days open on Thanksgiving Day, but not all. Of course the parks are all open and operating as normal (However, they are very, very busy)
What is the best day and time to visit the parks?
Best avoid weekends if you can but as for time, try and arrive as early as possible when the parks open. Go to the most popular rides first and work your way back toward the entrance. When the parades at Disney are about to start or in progress is a good time too. Try and avoid the usual lunch breaks 12pm – 2pm, eat either earlier or later. A good breakfast will help stave off hunger pangs.
What is the best time of year to visit?
If you are not tied to school holidays then avoid them like the plague. Easter is the busiest time of all, the weather is perfect and it is not brilliant at home in the UK. The best time for a visit is May, September or November. These months are perfect for weather, the parks are not very busy and the schools are not on a break. Some people think June is a good time, but the American schools break up from school until the end of August.
Should we take travellers cheques?
Travellers cheques can be used as cash, in that you do not need to go to a bank to cash them, you just hand them over as you would cash. However, you do have the problem of paying charges for them, especially if you take more than you need and have to change them back. If you open a credit card account with one of the suppliers who do not charge interest then you will not pay any charges at all. The Post Office still has a card which does not charge. Other cards will charge every time you use it.
