Renting a Florida Vacation Home
If this is your first time renting a Florida vacation home, here’s a few notes to assist you.
WHY RENT A VACATION HOME?
If you’ve stayed elsewhere before, you’ll have a very pleasant surprise! Florida vacation homes are very spacious, extremely well equipped (normally with lots of stuff you don’t find in other accommodations) and all the homes on this site have very helpful owners. Everyone will get their own space and, in most cases, you’ll get your own private pool in the backyard.
CHOOSING
If you want choice, we’ve got lots of it! There’s a great variety of vacation homes on this site, one of which is certain to be just perfect for your Florida vacation.
All of the homes on this website have been verified as being owned by the people who have said they own them – so you can be sure that there definitely will be a vacation home just like it’s been described on the Florida Home Vacations site advert when you arrive. No problems about trusting your Florida Home Vacations home owner then.
Have a look through the homes and see which ones you like best! You can make a shortlist on the site so you don’t lose track of which ones were your favorites and then you can inquire about those homes.
Looking for something specific? If it’s the number of bedrooms you’re after, then you can search using this criteria. If it’s something else you’re looking for to help you make up your mind, why not put in a General Inquiry and note your specific requirements in the Comments box. Only home owners with availability for your dates and who have your requirements will respond to you so you can make your choice.
BOOKING
When you’ve made your choice of home from the replies to your inquiry, just contact your home owner to let them know. They will give you info on how to book their home and make sure you’re provided with any further info you require.

You will probably need to fill in a booking form and then pay your deposit or full amount (depending how far in advance you’re booking).
Most home owners will then mail you a booking confirmation letter – that’s it, you’re booked!
PAYMENTS
You’ll find that most home owners have various methods of payment, some including credit cards, but all will be able to accept as a minimum a US$ personal check (unless you are booking very late and there's no time to clear it).
If you’ve booked in advance, your final payment will be due (anything from 8 – 12 weeks before your check-in date). Some owners will remind you that your payment is due and some will expect you to remember.
DIRECTIONS
Home owners vary but you’ll normally get these when you have paid your final balance in good time for your check-in. Your home owner will also tell you about the keys to the home, the security alarm (if supplied), etc so that you don’t get any surprises when you arrive.
All you have to do then is have a safe journey and ENJOY!
