Child Friendly Restaurants at Epcot

Like most of the Parks at Disney you will find many child friendly dining options at Epcot.

We visited the Sunshine Season Food Faire shortly after it had been refurbished in late 2005. This is a food-court style dining area, located in the Land pavilion in Future World; they now have an open kitchen, five stations and a centralized cashier.

The choice was great and satisfied all of our party. At the wood-fired grill you could have rotisserie items including Ancho-rubbed beef, Moroccan chicken and grilled Atlantic salmon, my Father loved the beef. Mom and I had went to the Soup and Salad station whilst the girls were delighted with the Asian Wok Shop. Here they had noodle bowls and stir fry. We did not have them on this visit but at each station there were vegetarian and plenty of children’ s options.

In the Land pavilion you will find the Garden Grille. This is a full-service restaurant that offers lunch and dinner character meals with Farmer Mickey and Chip and Dale. Food is pre-plated. Children have their own food including chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese and more. Friends of ours went here and said it was really worth a visit.

If you go to the Coral Reef you will have a view of the aquarium through several floor-to ceiling windows. Children seem in awe of this view and parents often manage to get a quiet and relaxed meal while they are otherwise occupied! It is best to request a table by the windows when you arrive.

If you go to the Mexico pavilion the restaurant’ s atmosphere makes diners think they are sitting alongside a river in Mexico. Children enjoy it here as they can get tacos and other kid friendly meals. Make sure you request a table on the water when you arrive.

Our girls love the Biergarten. There is a dinner-show every night and it is very festive. A buffet is offered at both lunch and dinner although there is just varied entertainment at lunch not a show. You can choose from Sausages, German pot roast, noodles and chicken and even a fussy child can find food they like.

Most children love pasta and this you can get at Alfredo’ s. At dinner musicians stroll the dining room and the waiting staff often break into song.

Nowadays Norway’ s Restaurant Akershus offers 3 Princess Character meals a day. Breakfast is American style and lunch and dinner offer Norwegian Cuisine for adults and American style for kids. We have yet to dine here but plan to on our next visit.

Teppanyaki Dining Rooms are located in the Japan pavilion. Diners are seated at large tables (unless your party is large you will share a table with others) and Japanese chefs prepare meals at grills built right into the table. Our girls love the food and are kept mesmerized by the chef’s antics.

At Epcot there really is plenty of choice for dining with young children.
