Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is exactly what it says, it’s very merry and loads of fun for all the family. If you happen to be in Orlando from the end of November up until Christmas it really is a must.
The tickets can be purchased online from the official Disney site and are sent to you via UPS or Fedex and arrive in a few days after ordering them so you get them well ahead of your visit.
The Party starts around 7.00pm but you are able to go across on the boat up to about half an hour before that. All visitors to the park from that particular day have to leave the park at 6.00pm and all party goers are given a wrist band on entry to Magic kingdom so that officials can see that you have purchased a ticket for the party and not just stayed there from your visit that day.
As you enter Magic kingdom and walk up Main street there is snow falling (artificial of course ) but it adds to that magical feeling of Christmas. The Christmas tree at the end of main street is lovely and all the Christmas lights and decorations make it look wonderful.
One of the best things is the fact that there are only a certain number of guests allowed on each day so it is overcrowded and you are able to go onto any of the rides without any queues. Great fun if you enjoy all the rides.
There is a part set up so that everyone can have a special photo taken, these are framed and posted to you , such a lovely souvenir to have of your trip there.
You are given hot chocolate to drink and a cookie to eat, who can resist that ?
But the very best part of the whole evening is the party fireworks at 9.00 o’clock they seem to just go on and on and are so spectacular it is unbelievable the whole sky is alight with wonderful colours the noise is deafening and the finale was absolutely brilliant I can honestly say they were the best I had ever seen and was totally in awe of the whole show.
After the fireworks there is a special Christmas parade, again the queues to see this were nothing like the daytime ones and where ever you stood you had a terrific view, the floats were amazing , all lit up and even in “ smellivision “ Mickey made his usual appearance at the end and everyone was enjoying the Christmas songs. By the time we left at midnight we were exhausted but very very merry !!
