Florida Trip 2017 Day Two Part Two
Finally, after what seemed ages waiting for the silly woman in front we were at the tills, the cashier couldn’t put the shopping through fast enough in our view we wanted to get back to the villa and get outside on the deck and enjoy the sun and the pool not forgetting the spa
All packed up and paid for we piled the shopping into the car and set off back up the 27 for home, it was around 80 degrees when we pulled up brilliant sunshine amazing weather given what we have come from the previous day.
We all piled in with the shopping and quickly put it away then rushed to put our bathers on, within a very short time we were all sat outside but the pool with a beer in our hand well apart from Shirley who had a cup of tea instead.
I had never been to Florida in November before and somehow had thought it would be a lot cooler even at this late time of year it was about 85 by one in the afternoon with not a could in the sky, the spa was fired up and we all piled in, drinking beer chatting and relaxing in the spa seems to be our favourite thing to do when we're at the villa.
Talk turned to eating out we all still on for Longhorn I asked oh yea everyone agreed first food we got to have is a big juicy steak because you sure don’t get steaks like that in the UK anywhere, we had even managed to convert the chicken eating Karlie into a steak eater, we had hours to go but were already drooling over the thought of a steak.
A long relaxing day was spent around the pool swimming, in the spa and reading of books just what was needed after the long flight, soon we were getting ready to go out all togged up, we jumped in the car and whizzed down the 192 to “Longhorn”.
As it was a Sunday evening it was quite busy we had to wait for a table around thirty minutes but we knew it was worth the wait, soon we were seated at a table the waiter came and took our order for beers a large Sam Adams Seasonal beer for me a Blue Moon for Will.
A Flatiron, a sirloin, a ribeye and the biggest baddest steak of all for me a 20oz Porterhouse all ordered and boy were they good there wasn’t much talking as all chewed down on our wonderful steaks I can honestly say Longhorn serve the best steaks I have eaten.
