Choosing a villa - Hints
Thinking of traveling to the sunshine state and meeting that very famous mouse? Wow! what a fantastic holiday you will have, but lots of planning is needed to make sure you enjoy your trip.
What ever ages you are traveling with, be it with a group of friends or a family, have you considered the benefits of staying in your own villa, a home away from home with all the conveniences that having your own place brings.
A villa holiday in my opinion is the best way to enjoy a relaxing stay in Florida. If you have young children, it provides your family with a peaceful environment to relax and allows the children to have a regular bedtime, whilst you can continue to enjoy the pool, watch TV, have a glass of wine or two or just relax with your friends. In a hotel room, how do you do this, when you are all crammed into one room!
How do you choose a villa from the many that are available? A few suggestions to help you.
Firstly decide which area of Florida you want to visit, generally tourists underestimate the time travelling takes, it is not easy to visit the Disney parks if you are located on the coast, nor is it easy to secure your space on the beach if you are staying in Orlando.
Decide upon how may bedrooms you require, your travel dates, do you want your own pool or are you happy to share a communal pool, do you want the facilities of a club house or do you prefer to venture out each evening?
Once you have submitted an enquiry wait for villa owners to get in touch. Villas all vary in price, so go for the villa that best suits your budget, remembering of course that as with all things in life you generally get what you pay for. All the villas on this site have to be verified every 6 months to prove they are available for rental.
Most reputable owners ask for a security deposit, remember the trust works both ways, they are letting you stay in their lovely home, so they expect you to care for it as best as you can. Many owners will spend their holidays maintaining the villa, cleaning, decorating, making repairs to keep the villa in great condition so you can have the stay you deserve.
The villa owner will do their best to help and advise you, by renting directly you can ask those questions which matter most to you, allowing you to make sure the home meets your needs, each owner has expert knowledge and is always willing to assist their guests.
So please don’t hesitate, choose a home and have a fantastic stay!
