Universal versus Disney? Naturally you would like to do both but you do not have the time so which to plump for?
LET US TAKE IT POINT BY POINT:
Roller Coasters: well I think that Universal come out tops here; Duelling Dragons and The Incredible Hulk take some beating. So the first vote goes to UNIVERSAL.
Best for Tots: we all know the answer to this one; Disney has more to enchant the little ones than Universal will ever have. So one for DISNEY.
Best for Teenagers: here we have to vote for the Universal parks; more here to keep them happy and out of your hair. So one for UNIVERSAL.
Best themed area: once again we have to say Universal and justify it with 2 words; Harry Potter! So one for UNIVERSAL
Best Food: I would tie the parks here; fast food or silver service, I could not call it. So one each for UNIVERSAL and DISNEY.
Best for animal lovers: no contest: Animal Kingdom have a whole park devoted to animals in a wonderful setting. So one for DISNEY.
Best for variety: of course it is Disney with 4 parks and 2 water parks. So one for DISNEY.
Best Thrill Ride: goes to Universal with their brand new, state of the art, Forbidden Journey that is located in Harry Potter. So one for UNIVERSAL.
Best Show: I would give it to The Festival of the Lion King which of course is a nother vote for Disney. Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue came a close second. So one for DISNEY.
Best setting: definitely Epcot with its setting right on the Lake and the the themed countries. So one for DISNEY.
Best for childrens rides: Magic Kingdom comes right out on top. So one for DISNEY.
Best for fireworks: for obvious reasons it has to be Disney and their end of the day displays are awesome. So another vote for DISNEY.
Best for Colour: I think Islands of Adventure wins out here since it is like stepping into a cartoon (looking a little tired now, though) So another vote for UNIVERSAL.
Best overall experience: I think it has to be Disney; they spread a little more magic, the parades are great, the shows are superb and the fireworks send you home happy. In between there is a plethora of rides to suit all the family. So the last category goes to DISNEY.
So a quick count up tells me that Universal gained 6 points and Disney gained 9.
I wonder if you will agree?
