Best of all is our villa's position. Our pool faces south, overlooking the 17th hole of the prestigious Southern Dunes golf course, and a small wooded area. You will not be overlooked by your neighbours. There is a hedge between you and each neighbouring house.

If one or more of the party is a golfer, this is a great location. But there is no need to play golf to enjoy our villa to the full. Many of our guests just enjoy the greenery and the open views.

Southern Dunes is a genuine gated community. There is a 24-hour security guard at the gate, so that you can feel completely secure as you relax and enjoy the scene.

Disney is an easy drive, dual carriageway all the way from the Southern Dunes entrance.

We are Martin and Susan Hockey. We have owned Florida Breeze Villa since it was built in late 2001.

We are British, but we have lived in the US (New Jersey) and Canada (Alberta). We now live in a 200 year old cottage in Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales in the north of England.

Susan was born and brought up in Halifax in Yorkshire. She spent her career in universities, and held posts at Oxford University, Rutgers University, the University of Alberta and University College London. Her subject area was computing for the arts and humanities.

Martin was born and brought up in Bristol. After university (where he met Susan) he became an accountant. He worked in Oxford, New York, High Wycombe, Slough and London. He specialized in tax, and spent the later part of his career helping Americans do business in the UK and helping Brits deal with American bureaucracy.

We are now both retired – can't think how we ever had time to go to work. In his spare time, Martin goes long distance walking. In our retirement, we travel to places we never had time to go to when we worked.

My wife and I stayed at Martin and Susan’s villa, Florida Breeze, for just over three weeks with our three children and it truly felt like a home from home.
From the moment we booked, Martin and Susan were extremely responsive, helpful, and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and communication was excellent throughout, even after we returned home.
The villa itself is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality appliances, including an ice dispenser and coffee machine, which made day-to-day living even more convenient. A choice of dining spaces makes mealtimes relaxed and enjoyable. The beds were especially comfortable, and the living areas made it easy for our whole family to relax and enjoy our time together.
The location is fantastic. Situated on the Southern Dunes Golf Course in a prime position, it is in a safe, private gated community which felt very secure and friendly. We especially enjoyed watching the golfers in action, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Shops are very conveniently located — Walmart, Winn-Dixie, and Aldi are all within a short drive (less than 5 minutes), and some (Walmart and Winn-Dixie) are even within walking distance. The villa also has excellent access to the main road networks, making it ideal for getting to all the major attractions.
The pool area was a real highlight — a great private pool that the children absolutely loved and spent hours enjoying.
Overall, this is a very well maintained villa that offers real comfort, space, and convenience. Whether you are staying for a short break or an extended family holiday, it genuinely feels like a home from home.
We would highly recommend Florida Breeze and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you so much Martin and Susan!
