Where is the best place to stay in Orlando.
This is a question that came up on the Orlando Villas forum recently. It caused a bit of a stir as every body feels that their area is the best. But, the honest answer to that is they ALL are the best, depending on what your requirements are.
Some people specify they will be spending all their time at Universal Studios. In that case you will need to find villas that are near there as there is about a fifteen mile distance between Disney World and Universal Studios, depending on where you are staying in the Disney area. If the villas you are looking at are advertising being near Disney, then you will have to ask them the distance to Universal from their villa, mine for example is 8 miles from Disney but 15 miles from Universal. If you want to do both then you will probably spend more time in Disney World, as they have more parks than Universals two. However there are some villas that are equidistant between the two.
If you will not be going to the theme parks at all then you choices are much wider. Many people are going to Orlando for conferences at the Orlando Convention Centre. Do mention this in your request as many villas that are close to Disney will be too far away for you.
If you wish to mainly go to Seaworld and Aquatica, then again you will need to specify as these too are further away from Disney but closer to Universal.
Your villa choice may be more towards golfing, in which case there are many, many villas that are either on or very close to good public golf courses. If you are a group of golfers all wanting your own room, or at least your own bed, do make sure you do not end up with all double beds, unless you are very friendly of course!
If all you want from your vacation is somewhere to relax and lap up the suns rays, then had you thought of going to the gulf coast? We have a whole selection of villas on the beautiful gulf coast and most are not too much of a drive to Disney World or Universal Studios if you just want to spend a day there. You will have no trouble finding good motels in the Disney area if it is just for one night, then you can spend two days at your chosen park. Likewise if you are staying in the Disney area and you fancy a couple of days away from the parks, you will be able to get to either the Gulf or East coast very easily.
