What’s so Magical about Magic Kingdom Part2
In my last article I told everyone how special the initial view of the high street and castle was as you entered Disney’s Magic Kingdom especially in the evening when the firework show was on and how not to forget your camera to capture the look on the kids or grandkids faces
Well there is a whole lot more to Magic Kingdom that just the castle, I have always felt that there is something very special about Magic Kingdom maybe because it was the first park they ever built at Florida after Walt Disney first flew over the land or should I say swamp and thought that would make a great place to build the new Disney land
It could also be that there are more rides and features in Magic Kingdom that I as a child of the 60’s attached to the words Walt Disney; I know that now in 2012 that Disney produces a whole range of ultra successful films based on lots of different stories and Characters
But to me Disney means great classic characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck , Goofy, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and many others from those great movies of the50’s 60’s and 70’s when Disney animation was at its heyday before computer animation was even thought of !
Step into Fantasy land and your right there in that magic world of the Disney classics. One ride that almost everyone mentions is “It’s a Small World”, this has to be visited at least once as an adult I have to say that round about its tenth ride it can get a little wearing but let’s face it’s the little kids love it and it’s a classic show I mean you can’t go to Magic Kingdom and not go on it
Next its Peter Pans Flights where you take a seat on the Pirates Galleon you are sprinkled with magic pixie dust by Tinkerbelle and soon you fly out of the Darling children’s bedroom window and within seconds you are soaring above the streets and houses of London, you will see all the famous landmarks such as London bridge and big ben etc.
Soon you will sweep by the lost boys camp and will see the captain hook and Peter pan duelling as Peter battles to save Wendy and her brothers this is all set to the classic sound track to the original 50’s film sound track making it special for people of my age (The kids love it too)
