Visiting clubs in Las Vegas
If you’re going to Las Vegas then there are some things you must do even if it’s just to tick it off your list of things I have done. Even if you are not into the club scene some of these places are worth a visit. The whole ‘over the top’ approach to what is on offer is entertainment in itself. This article will limit itself to the ‘non adult entertainment’ clubs which still leaves quite a choice.
There is some debate as to the best club currently in Las Vegas but there' s no debate as to who makes up the top three.
Marquee nightclub is the one of newest and hardest clubs to get into in Las Vegas both because of its popularity and due to the fact the entrance is up five floors and there is only three lifts to fill the club. The club can hold up to 3, 000 people at once, but has put over 5, 000 people through the door in one night. It features seven different bars in three rooms; The Main Room, The Boom Box and The Library, each of which has its own unique design. The Main Room features a sound and light system with a 40-foot LED wall, DJ booth and projection stage. When you link this with 32, 000 subwoofers and full range speakers don’t plan on speaking too much. The lounge style Library room looks out on to the main floor and has a fireplace, billiards table and vintage books. If you descend to the lowest level in the club you enter the Boom Box room. This features views across the Strip and has its own DJ offering guests a different selection of music.
TAO is for those wanting a high energy atmosphere. The 10, 000-square-foot nightclub has become one of the places to see and be seen. It has three full service bars spread over the two main rooms. The music covers a wide variety of styles. The design of the club allows you to see almost the entire club from anywhere in the room. It also boasts a 40-foot outside terrace with great views of the Strip.
XS is meant to be inspired by the curves of the human body. It provides an elegant environment that surrounds Encore' s pool. The interior is done in tones of brown, bronze, black and gold. They boost that they have more than 10, 000 lights to illuminate the interior. There are also outdoor VIP cabanas and a large circular dance floor surrounded by VIP tables.
The club also hypes up its XS name with an ‘excess’ theme. You can buy its signature cocktail, the ' Ono, ' for only $10,000. It’s made with Charles Heidsieck Champagne Charlie 1981 and Louis XIII de Remy Martin Black Pearl cognac. It comes with a set sterling silver cufflinks embossed with a stingray and XS logo and an 18K white gold chain with a black pearl pendant and XS logo. This might make the price a little more palatable but not for me.
Encore Beach Club is worth a mention even though it is mainly a pool party. It does open up at night and when the weather permits they pack them in. The overall flaw in this design is that it is pool first and foremost. It maybe the most lavish pool anyone ever created costing around sixty five million dollars and built during the height of the recession. When the weather doesn' t cooperate, as happens more often than you would think, the actual inside portion of the night club is very small and unimpressive. Go here when the weather is good and the place is transformed. The interactive lighting displays that are linked throughout the water and the walls to offer an amazing show.
