Visit Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is just what it says on the tin, a Disney event that is beautifully themed and presented but designed not to frighten the smallest child. For realy scary you need to head out to Universal Studios where the theme is as frightening as you coud want.
This event is held in The Magic Kingdom and is a separately ticketed event. Unlike Universal, you are positively encouraged to dress up for the night (try Walmart and the dollar shop for the cheapest options or take the outfits with you)
Just like Universal, The Disney nights run through september and october on selected nights. (Look at the bottom of this item to see a run down of the dates) Top Tip: do not go at the weekends unless you really have to (or friday nights for that matter) Lots of teenagers running around on these nights in my experience.
It is beyond doubt that a major draw for the children is tha sheer mountain of sweeties they can gather throughout the evening but the theming is pretty spectacular too.
All their favourite characters don their best Halloween garb and there are specially lit areas to visit. The childrens faces at this event is something to behold and Halloween in the U. K. will seem tame ever after.
The night time parade takes place as usual but this time all the characters are spookily garbed. The parade is led by a headless horseman.
And of course the evening is rounded off by the spectacular firework display. For this season, however, you need to look out for some Disney villains trick or treating in the sky.
Ticket prices vary from $53. 95 plus tax to $67. 95 plus tax. All tickets are cheaper if booked in advance.
The dates to visit are: sep 13th/ 16th/ 20th/ 23rd/ 27th/ 30th and oct 2nd/ 6th/ 7th/ 10th/ 11th/ 13th/ 16th/ 18th/ 20th/ 21st/ 23rd/ 25th/ 27th/ 28th/ 30th and 31st and this may surprise you, a bonus night on the 1st of november.
Before you go to the Magic Kingdom it is worth having a drive round Celebration, they really push the boat out here for this season and you could also have an early dinner here too.
