Universal Studios
Universal Studios in Orlando is a theme park not to be missed. Situated next to Islands Of Adventure it opened in 1990 and has over 110 acres, sub-divided into six main areas and set around a huge man made lagoon.
Here are a few of the favourite rides.
Shrek 4D If you loved Shrek the movie you will love this show. Join Princess Fiona, Shrek and of course, Donkey on this 4D honeymoon adventure. You can hear, see and feel the action all from your seat. A fantastic simulated ride, not to be missed. Afterwards have you photo taken with the characters just outside the shows exit doors. Well worth queuing for.
Revenge of The Mummy This new roller coaster ride plunges you into total darkness. Come face to face with warrior mummies on this brilliant thrill ride. This is a very popular ride so queues will build up very quickly, either go very early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the long wait.
Men in Black- Alien Attack A great family ride for all ages. Try your skill as a trainee agent as you zap the moving aliens, whilst being spun through the streets of New York. Points are scored by each rider depending on the number and type of aliens you zap. Don’t forget to check your score at the end.
Terminater 2 – 3D An old favourite of mine. In this epic stunt show you actually feel as though you have joined forces with The Terminator. The special effects are amazing and definitely a show not to be missed. Not as popular as some of the newer rides, so queues not normally to long for this one.
ET Adventure
ET needs your help getting back home. His planet is dying and only you can save it. Get on board your flying bike, no need to pedal as ET’s magic will make you fly. Can you get there in time? An adventure for all ages as there is no height restriction on this ride.
Twister- Ride it Out Ever wondered what it would be like to experience a twister? Well now you can. Step inside this ride and feel what it is like to be a storm chaser, looking right into the eye of the tornado. The special effects are brilliant, a real eye opener.
Of course there are lots more rides and shows to enjoy, these are just a few of my favourites. Fast passes are available to purchase at the entry gates but they can work out rather expensive. But you do get to skip the queues, so definitely worth thinking about.
