The Simpson Ride at Universal
Many of us regular visitors at Florida will remember the old back to the future ride at Universal Studio’s ride, although an old ride it was one of the best rides there in my opinion
In line with more current trends Universal decided to update the ride soon after Simpsons the movie was released at the box office and so after being closed for a short time the back to the future ride was revamped and opened as the Simpsons ride
Normally I am not a fan of such a revamp taking a classic ride but I have to say the Simpsons ride is even better than the original ride and that is saying some thing
If you’re a fan of the Simpsons (and lets face it who isn’t) then you will love this ride, as I have said all the equipment used is the same as in the back to the future ride it has just been changed cosmetically to fit in with the Simpson characters
You start your adventure by visiting Krusty Land with the Simpsons, you sit in the simulator car and soon your vehicles moves forward into an enormous 180 3d screen, this is one of the best simulated rides I have ever been on
There is a story to the ride that keeps you entertained along the way, I don’t want to give to much away but the is one huge Maggie in this ride and it’s not long before all sorts of chaos starts to happen!
You fly through a 3D digital world including some fantastic roller coaster simulations in the cartoon Krusty Land this ride really does give you the thrills of a roller coaster ride but within the safety of a ride on the ground not in the air
If your like me soon it will have you twisting and turning as you fly through the air, the fall sequences are so good you really do feel like you are there, this is about as close as a chicken like myself can get to a roller coaster ride!
Be sure to keep an eye out for many of your favourite characters from the TV series in what Universal claim is an all-new animated adventure which takes you through Springfield and beyond. Apparently it' s the first-ever attraction based on the show!
I can recommend this ride enough it real is superb, well done Universal. All our family just love this ride!
