The Incredible Hulk
This unmistakable green snaking shape can be seen for miles around Islands of Adventure. It is only when you enter Marvel Super Hero Island, to your left after you pass through Port of Entry the gateway to Islands of Adventure, that you realize its sheer scale and distinctive sound.
The Incredible Hulk Coaster is a Universal Express Attraction so if you have bought an Express ticket you can use it here.
Electronic lockers located between the incredible Hulk Coaster and Storm Force Accelatron and are available free of charge for the first hour of use so you can store loose items and bags.
Guest must be 54" or taller to ride the Incredible Hulk Coaster and the usual restrictions of not recommending it for expectant mothers, those with a history of neck or back conditions, heart trouble etc apply.
As you queue in the Gamma Radiation Testing Zone you learn Dr. Bruce Banner’ s story on video monitors, including how The Hulk came to be. Artwork shows us how some of the Super Heroes and Villains of Marvel Super Hero Island became so powerful as you walk through the Lab.
You are there to help Dr. Banner reverse the effects of his exposure to gamma rays from the bomb explosion, which has caused him to transform into The Incredible Hulk for all these years. Should really be an easy task to ride the roller coaster unless of course something goes wrong!
This attraction starts with a standard coaster climb for a few seconds but before you have time to think, the coaster is catapulted in 3 seconds up the 150 foot tunnel. As you exit the launch at 45 MPH and way above the ground you will take a sharp twist to the left and feel the same weightlessness that a F-16 jet fighter pilot experiences!
Then it is into the Cobra Roll, before heading into the highest inversion loop of any coaster at 109 feet. At this point I had my eyes shut as apparently you head into the first of two subterranean trenches, there was a lot of screaming at this point. Onto the carousel, which turns to the left around the main lift, a left-handed corkscrew and into the second vertical loop, smaller than the first. A 270 degree left turn above the station turns into a 360 degree right turn and a dive, followed by the right-handed corkscrew and a 180 degree turn (where your photo is taken) and the final 360 degree helix. A left handed 90 degree turn takes you to the station. This really was a scary ride, it only lasts about two minutes but to me it seemed like a lifetime. In total there are seven inversions!
At the end of the ride if you wish you can buy the picture that was taken of your party on board.
Enjoy it but it is not one for the faint hearted.
