T-Bones - Haines City
Located on Hwy 27 in Haines City just passed Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club approximately 20 minutes from Hwy 192 area.
This restaurant is situated next to the highly popular Mannys Chophouse and so you would think it might struggle for business! But this is definitely not the case, and quite rightly so!
The decor is fairly basic but spotlessly clean and very spacious. A separate room is available to book for private parties or the larger than average group of holiday makers.
A large bar is situated in the restaurant with TVs showing sports programmes for customers that wish to just drink and not dine.
It seemed that a lot of the customers were known to the staff so were either locals or regulars, which is always a good sign! There were not many children in the restaurant however, it was January when we visited and so not normal family holiday time.
The menu offers several starters and an extensive choice of Steaks, Pasta & Seafood main courses, all of which are very reasonably priced. They also have a nightly steak special, the night we visited it was Steak Diane for $6. 50 which was delicious!
My other half had the 10oz Prime Rib priced at $10. 95 which he said was equally as good as Manny's.
A small and fairly basic eat all you can salad bar is included in the cost of your main meal.
The desserts offered are a selection of HUGE gateaux. If you can manage a dessert after the main course then it is guaranteed you will not finish this! We were unable to manage a dessert and so asked if we could have a Chocolate Fudge Cake & Carrot Cake to go. These huge portions lasted the 4 of us 2 days! ! ! The Carrot cake was to die for! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The bill for 2 starters, 4 main courses, 2 sweets and drinks totalled $85, and was well worth every penny (sorry cent! )
All in all a very good reasonable place to eat with a very tasty menu.
The only thing to be aware of is the floor! The tiles are highly polished so care is needed depending on your footwear.
Like most of the restaurants in the Orlando area T-Bones opens early evening and closes at 10pm.
T-Bones offers a good quality alternative to Manny's, with very helpful and happy staff.
Give it a try if the queue at Manny's is to long, you will not be dissappointed!
