So you have spent a week or two at the theme parks and now you are feeling slightly weary after the constant walking and standing in line. Your muscles are stiff, your feet ache and you would definitely feel the benefit from a bit of pampering. There is nothing worse than arriving home and feeling that you need another holiday. Why not indulge yourself with a day of invigourating or relaxing treatments at a Spa Resort?
You do not even need to be a hotel guest to enjoy the benefits offered by some of the resorts, as they are open to everyone including casual visitors, although a prior reservation is usually required.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa at Grande Lakes could be just what you need. Featuring 40,000 square feet dedicated to rejuvenation, this unique Orlando spa offers a relaxing retreat from the world outside. The Spa features 40 treatment rooms, a 4,000-square-foot outdoor heated pool and healing waters for the exclusive use of Spa visitors.
Treatments range from as little as $40 for a manicure, to $320 for a 2 hr ‘Tuscan Citrus Cure’; one of the Spa’s signature treatments. Experience an East Indian Lime Scalp and Body massage which will increase your circulation and nourish your hair or the Ritz-Carlton Signature Facial.
Some of the treatments are offered at a discount rate, when you book a session together with a friend or partner. So why not leave the children back at the villa, with their Grandparents, whilst you just relax and have a bit of time to yourselves.
A variety of treatments are also available at the Orlando World Centre Marriott Resort. Perhaps a traditional Swedish massage, which, with its flowing, kneading strokes, relieves tired muscles and leaves you totally relaxed. Alternatively, you may wish to try their ‘Flight Reviver Aromatherapy Experience’ before you tackle the theme parks. A soothing herbal footbath, followed by an aromatherapy massage which is designed to calm and relax and help you overcome that infernal jet lag.
The Centre also features a variety of body and facial spa treatments, nail care treatments, and half or full day Spa packages, with something to suit all pockets.
There are plenty of other resorts that offer spa treatments in Orlando, but these are two of the best, and after you have indulged yourself you will be raring to go; you’ll have renewed energy levels and be ready to hit the parks once again.
