Smokey Bones
If you enjoy eating ribs then Smokey Bones barbeque and grill is the place to try.
There is one on Hwy192 so easily accessible for most of the villa communities and / or Hotels around Orlando parking is easy in their huge car park. Open for lunch and dinner so you can try it whenever you fancy.
Offering a rustic mountain ridge dining environment in timber and stacked stone with lovely fireplaces. There are also TV’s around if you want to watch the baseball games.
It has a hand-rubbed hickory smoked barbeque giving that authentic taste like no other.
The menu is extensive and not just ribs, including fish, chicken, salads etc but the ribs are really to die for and you will not be disappointed.
Lets start at the beginning and with the starters, if there is a group of you the combo plate is delicious, comprising of wings, skins, onion rings and dips so an excellent choice enabling everyone to try a little bit of everything . If there are just two of you the choice is amazing, wings, dips, nacho’s, shrimp, bacon and potato slabs, soup and more.
For the main course as I have said is famous for the ribs, you can have a half or full rack of baby back or smoked St. Louis or a combo of the two. With a side of loaded baked potato , fries or loaded mashed potato I guarantee you will be impressed. If someone in your party does not like or want ribs there is of course chicken, , burgers or fish on the menu but they would have to be quite mad not to try the ribs in my opinion !
As it is a family restaurant the kids menu is brilliant, they also give the kids a sheet to colour in while they are waiting of a cartoon type picture. The kids menu cannot fail to please the little ones with burgers, chicken, macaroni cheese and side that include the ever popular baked beans , this includes a drink and all for under $5 … great value.
If you do get to order a desert ( I never cease to wonder how they ever manage to sell any ! ) the usual type of thing being chocolate fudge cake, peanut butter pie, apple cobbler or if you want to share a bag of hot cinnamon sugar doughnuts look really tempting, I do love deserts but never seem to have room for one there more is the pity !
