Shops and Eateries at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport Part 1
On a recent trip to our villa in Orlando we flew back to the UK from Fort Lauderdale International Airport with US Airways. The airport is pleasant, not too big, and we found plenty of places to eat, plus a good selection of shops. We flew back from Terminal 3, and once through security we found a ‘street’ of shops and eateries called ‘Hollywood Boulevard’ after the street of the same name in Fort Lauderdale. This wide avenue has seating areas, and is lit by old fashioned street lamps. It is an attractive place to sit and watch the world go by.
Brighton
We first noticed this shop in Fort Worth, and it is a fascinating store. It sells handbags, watches, and jewellery, as well as wallets and belts for men. With its marble floor and crystal chandelier it is most attractive.

Brookstone Brothers
This is a classic American shop offering casual clothing for men, women and boys – shirts, polo shirts, jackets, jumpers, ladies shirts etc. Whilst it is classical rather than fashionable, it is popular in the USA.

AIA Travel Mart
The AIA is, of course, the road which runs parallel to the coast around Fort Lauderdale.
This shop has an extensive range of newspapers, magazines, books, snacks and convenience items, such as soft drinks, snacks and sweets. Great place to grab some reading material for the flight.
This shop opens 4. 00 am and closes at 9. 00 pm
Tropical Treats
This bright and colourful shop sells everything to do with confectionery – sweets, local treats, drinks, and snacks. It also has a huge range of jelly beans which are displayed in transparent containers along the front of the counter and are amazing – so many varieties and colours. Can you resist them?

CNBS News and Gifts
This news stand offers a wide range of newspapers, magazines, books, plus clothing such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps, and travel items like neck pillows and soft, warm travel rugs.
This shop opens 4. 30 am and closes at 8. 30 pm
Island Breeze featuring Tommy Bahama
This tropical themed store carries clothes and accessories for men and women. If you are after something to remind you of sunny Florida then maybe a browse through this shop will provide the answer.
