Seaworld
If you would like a break from the Disney Parks, Seaworld has got to be the place to go.
You will find Seaworld on International Drive right next to its associate Park Discovery Cove. Another way of getting to the Park is by using Interstate 4. There must be 2 – 3 exits off the I4 signposted for Seaworld. With ample parking you will be in for a day out to remember. Opening Times are generally 9am – 6pm
As said in the name, Seaworld is home to some of the most amazing sea life, from the famous Killer Whales, Dolphins, Sea Lions, Polar Bears and much more. There is plenty of chance to get up close, you can Dine with Shamu, and you can eat at the underwater grill in the company of Sharks. You can go to the Dolphin Nursery where at certain times of the day you will be able to feed the Dolphins. Check out the park information leaflet for times.
There are many daily shows in Seaworld, none more famous than the Killer Whale show at the Shamu Area. Watch as you see Killer Whales surface right out of the water throwing their instructors high up in the air, laugh as the spectators on the front few rows get soaked to the skin as Shamu splashes them with water.
All the shows in Seaworld are well worth a visit. Other shows are Blue Horizons, Mystify, Believe and our personal favourite Clyde & Seamore the Sea Lion Show.
A quick tip for you, although Clyde and Seamore is great to watch, try and go to the evening show as this takes the micky out of all the other shows in the park and is extremely funny, oh and watch out for the Mime Artist as you enter the stadium.
A couple of rides to mention are Kraken the roller coaster ride which we currently haven’t been on yet but is down on our to do list when we next visit and also Journey to Atlantis a water ride where yes you guest it, you may get thoroughly soaked. Both are fantastic rides but waiting times can be long but thankfully the queuing areas are covered.
There are other diners dotted around the park where you are able to pick up a snack, just pick up the Seaworld Guide as you enter the park.
There are lots of things to see and do around the park, so keep your eyes open, as you don’t want to miss anything. This currently is our favourite Theme Park in the Orlando area and we can highly recommend a day out Seaworld.
