Seaworld and Discovery Cove Price Rise Announced
From now thru December 25, 2005 Florida Adult Residents can enjoy and revisit their youth through the purchase a single-day ticket or annual pass to SeaWorld Orlando for the price of a child’s. The “Be a Kid Again” offer is available only to Florida residents and may be purchased online at www.seaworld.com, or at the SeaWorld Orlando entrance. Adults can enjoy a full day of adventure at SeaWorld Orlando for the price of a full paid child admission of only $48.00.
The Fun Card is also being brought back for Florida Residents. It allows Florida residents who buy a single admission ticket to revisit the park all through the year. The Fun Card allows months of repeat visits for free. Seaworld executives say that multiple visits increase incremental spending on food and merchandise, and they feel that they are providing value and flexibility.
If FL residents purchase a one day ticket, the holder of the ticket can exchange it at the gate for a pass which will allow the person unlimited visits to that park for six consecutive days. This should appeal to residents from other states who wish to tailor their vacation around their own needs.
Effective January 2, 2006, Seaworld Orlando executives have announced to raise their one day ticket price. The one day admission ticket to Sea World Orlando will rise from $59.75 to $61.95 (adults) and from $48 to $49.95 (children). Prices are exclusive of Florida sales tax. Prices of its sister parks, Discovery Cove in Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa will follow.
The parks are offering visitors the option to exchange their one day tickets for a personalised pass. Visitors can then return to the park where they purchased their ticket as many times as they want during the following ‘six consecutive days’ following their purchase.
Disney has also begun offering a multi-day discount that will allow visitors to choose from a ticket menu, providing more than 30 options.
DISCOVERY COVE in Orlando is also to raise its prices from January 1 2006 from $259 to $279 a day with admission, snacks, beverage, breakfast and lunch included.
