Sea World
Just wanted to share my experiences with you about the superb Sea World and what this great place has to offer
Sea World is a park like no other and as the name suggests everything in the park is related to anything and everything Aquatic, from the sea lion shows to the mighty shamu whale.
Firstly getting to Sea World is real easy, located just off Interstate 4 you take exit 71 signposted Sea World. The majority of vacation homes are located south of this exit for example if you are staying near highway 192 this is exit 62 on Interstate 4 or highway 27 then this is exit 55. When you drive north to exit 71 you will turn right at the end of the ramp, you then continue for about a mile and Sea World is on your left hand side.
Now down to details, when you enter Sea World you have a wide choice to see so let's start with the stingray lagoon. Here you can stand by the pool where they are kept and actually touch them as they glide through the water, quite an experience; also you can touch the turtles at turtle point. From here you can take a short walk to see the manatee's rescue point these are an endangered species. After this you can walk to the dolphin nursery pool and see these magnificent creatures and also touch them as well. Our next stop is the dolphin show at dolphin cove; the kids will love this show as the dolphins perform some amazing acts. From here you can move onto the wild artic and see the polar bears. Next stop is the seals and sea lions, get ready for a lot of noise as they squeal for some fish. Now its time to see the main attraction for us the show in the Shamu stadium. Be warned though when you sit down to watch this be prepared to get wet unless you are at least 15 rows back from the enclosure, it's better known as the splash zone. This show was amazing as you watch the killer whales jump out of the water and then splash back in.
Once we had finished with the shows we tried some of the rides that Sea World has to offer, starting off with the Kraken, this is a mighty roller coaster with loops and turns, not for the faint hearted. Next we moved onto journey into Atlantis, you definitely get wet on this one as the ride thunders through water from a huge decline. Another ride worth trying is wild artic, this is where you board a helicopter, not a real one of course and take a journey to the North Pole.
Yes I can highly recommend Sea World; it's a thoroughly enjoyable day for all the family.
