Saving money for your Florida holiday: Entertainement.
You have to have some days out and a little entertainment in your life so how are we going to cut costs here.
Buy a family National Trust pass; this gives you entry to hundreds of homes and gardens that incudes free parking. Take a packed lunch; their cafes are notoriously expensive and can easily swallow up £60 for a family of 4.
If you regularly share restaurant meals with a group of friends resolve to move your dinners to your houses. If you all take a turn and keep it simple it is not a hassle. Or you could each bring a course whilst sharing the hosting.
Join a baby sitting group; if there is not one in your area, start one. The simplest way is to issue each member 10 one hour tokens and each person has to start earning hours back. A good way to make new friends as well. Keep this within your area so you do not have to use the car to get to your assigned home.
Always check an attractions website before you set out; there are often special offers. Once there, give each child a set amount of spending money that has to last the day.
Museums and art galleries are free and a wonderful day out for older children.
Use a book ahead train ticket service which can halve your fare. Check them all out as there is quite a difference in the prices offered.
Swap your Sky T. V. package for Freeview; do you really watch all those extra channels and you may be pleasatly surprised at the variety offered through your Freeview box?
Only a small saving but read the daily papers on line. Still a £450 saving in our house.
Doing a couple of shifts a week in a bar earns you some extra cash and also is almost like a night out.
Get together with friends who also have children and plan a day in a local park. Take a packed lunch and some balls and a cricket set and you will all have a great day out.
Join Groupon and every day a couple of fresh offers wil drop into your in box.
Hold games evenings with the children; they will love it and the cost is nil.
Well I hope you enjoy some of my suggestions and that you are getting well on your way to your next holiday in Florida!
