Sante Fe Restaurant H27

Santé Fe Restaurant

Just returned from Florida after not visiting for 2 years! and we decided we would visit all our local new restaurants close to our villa, one of them being Santé Fee on H27, four corners junction H192 H27 Junction, about 7 minutes drive from our villa in Hampton Lakes.

On walking in our local Santé Fe I was confronted by hundreds of peanut shells all over the floor and immediately thought, was this a good choice or not! There were wooden tables and booths and a very nice bar area. We were shown to bare wooden table in a booth and then on looking around saw that these shells were just part of the ‘cowboy setting’.

I ordered a standard rib eye steak, cooked medium rare (as I always say - in a steak house, eat steak), my husband ordered a large rib eye rare, you got a choice of 2 sides and my hubby had a twice baked potatoes with lots of topping and I had fries and broccoli, very good. When our meal came the steak was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious all blackened and red just as we had ordered. In the meantime after ordering our drinks whilst waiting for the steak we were given a huge bucket of peanuts, which you just shell and eat and then just drop the shells wherever you wish around your table.

Everyone in the restaurant was just cracking nuts and throwing down the shells and seem to really enjoy making a huge mess, the end result is it just looks like a cowboy’s saloon. There were pictures and cowboy memorabilia all over the walls, which made for a very relaxed laid back atmosphere.

I ordered a delicious house white wine and my husband had there signature beer, after being recommended by the server, on a 2 for 1 which he really enjoyed. They had lots of starters to choose from and puddings but we just went for the huge rib eye and what a choice that was!

The staff was very helpful and the food good and drinks were on offer on top of that. So all very reasonably priced. We would definitely go back again.

If you love steak then this is one not to miss. They also did a large range of fajita’s and Ribs, so a good restaurant to suit all the family.
