Rolling oaks common is proving to be a great little area, wether it be to dine, shop or just get to Disney. or Winter garden. Located on Hew 192 next to the toll road of Hwy 429.
The 429 toll road is a back way to get into Disney avoiding the main traffic on Hyw 192. You would get off at Hartzog road. Or you can just continue along the toll road and it takes you to a very good shopping area of Winter Garden. Here this is an open air shopping mall type area. with many restaurants and shops ie Target, Ross, Marshalls, along with many many more smaller stores.
Restaurants are the old favourites like Cracker Barrel, Mimi’s, chillies, olive garden, plus other smaller restaurants.
Back to Rolling Oaks Common. We now have 5 restaurants and a possible one more to come
1st is Millars Orlando Ale house by the name you can tell it’s a sports bar with many TVs on the walls playing a variety of sports, food here is very reasonable and so are the drinks, but if you don’t like loud noise and chatter this place would not be for you.
2nd is Applebee’s this is a family type restaurant that is found in many areas of Orlando, Its good food at a reasonable cost. They do often have a 20 meal for $20 with is very good value
3rd is Longhorn This is a favourite of ours they do good steaks and a good choice of other foods it’s a bit more expensive than say Applebee’s but defiantly worth trying .
4th is Olive Garden this is an Italian restaurant with an excellent choice of foods also reasonably priced. The warm bread they serve you at the start is very good. This is served with olive oil and herbs
5th is Bahama Breeze also one of our favourites, Here they serve Caribbean style foods.
We have had lots of different things on their menu and have not found anything we do not like; the Aruba red beer is particularly good, the Kabobs are also very good you can get chicken, beef or a combination of them both.
Finally for the restaurants we have been told that a Sweet Tomato is to be opened here but nothing has been confirmed as yet
As for shopping there is a super Target now, there are also a few little shops like a travel agent, a nail bar etc.
