Posner Park Shopping Complex
Another day in sunny Florida and I find myself taking a trip to Posner Park Shopping complex.
Posner Park is located at Exit 55 off the I4, where it meets the Highway 27. You need to follow directions for 27 South to Haines City and at the third set of lights take a left turn into the complex.
Posner Park is still in its infancy, but we have seen it grow over the last few months. It is built upon a large site, with free parking. The parking is plentiful and this is great as the stores are well spread out and you can be excused for taking the car between each one.
The complex is home to Dollar Tree, JC Penney, Michaels, Super Target, Belk, Payless Shoes, Pet Smart, a Million Books, Best buys, Staples and more recently Ross has opened a store here.
The Super Target store is great and sells most items such as clothes, toys, household goods, sports equipment, stationery, and they also have a groceries department and a garden centre. The store is a good choice if you want to browse the departments and then stock up on groceries, best take a cooler though, unless you leave the grocery shopping until last, as the other stores take some time to explore. They stock a good choice of most things, including fresh fruit and vegetables, the quality I would say is very good compared to some other large supermarket style stores. Target has always been reasonably quiet, as is generally the feel of Posner park…not many holiday makers have discovered it as yet. The queues to pay are generally much shorter and this makes for a less stressful shopping experience.
JC Penney is a medium sized department store, which seems to mainly stock clothing, from high fashion to trainers. My daughter got a great swim suit here in the sales.
Ross is another great store, good if you like a bargain and are prepared to “rummage” about a bit. Ross sells designer labels, seconds and last years stock at6 really reduced process. I usually buy all my villa towels and bedding here, quality items at a fraction of the true retail cost. Ross has a quick turn over of merchandise and it is worth visiting the store a couple of times. Sometimes they have nothing that appeals, other times I am stuck for choice. Also if you are aged 55 years and over, on a Tuesday you will receive a 10% discount on all your Ross purchases.
