Planning your Florida holiday (Part 2)
Planning the time of year must also be a consideration, senior members of the family and children alike might not be able to tolerate the extreme heat and humidity in the summer months so Autumn or Spring or even Winter ( their Winter is not the same as ours )might be a better option. The winter is very pleasant with daytime temperatures in the high 70’s and the evenings that are a bit cooler, still tee-shirt and shorts weather though.
Also the peak holiday seasons like Easter, Christmas and the UK school holiday will not only be extremely busy but the price of the air fares will reflect this too. Although Christmas is a magical time to visit and there are often other times of the year that have special events on , like Halloween, Thanksgiving etc.
If there are very young children then planning a day starting at 7am and going on until late at night is not a good idea and can be planned so that either an early start and early finish, a late start and late finish or start with the usual morning time and have a rest at lunch time, a snack, a swim in the pool, even a nap, then back to the days plans in the afternoon.
Older visitors like grandparents might find this more manageable too.
The next thing to think about is what you want to do, there are so many theme parks, water parks and attractions you will find it nearly impossible to do them all in one trip, that’s why many visitors go back year after year, to do the things they missed out on the last visit.
The best way to plan is by having a busy day and then a chilling day, either at one of the water parks, or a trip to the beach, or even just staying at your villa and chilling by the pool.
Make a list of all the theme parks , attractions, beaches and other things you want to do, discuss it with all the family members and then put them into order of preference . You can then see how many you are going to be able to fit in. The Disney hopper tickets are good as you can do a half day at one of the parks and then go back in the evening if there are and firework or parades you want to see that are late in the evening. Come back for part 3.
