Pinocchio’s Village Haus - Magic Kingdom
If we are going to eat lunch at the Magic Kingdom we tend to have a light breakfast at the villa before going to the Park. If you want to get to the Park for the opening you are best to plan on arriving at the car park about half an hour before the Park is due to open. On a nice sunny morning after our ride on the trolley bus we usually take the boat over to Magic Kingdom.
We start our day by walking through Cinderella’s Castle into Fantasyland where we usually go first on The Golden Carousel and Dumbo. After that we try to fit in seeing Philarmagic before lunch.
The whole family enjoy having lunch Pinocchio’ s Village Haus. This is fast-food restaurant and is located in Fantasyland to the right of the entrance to Its a Small World. For some time our youngest girl thought it was actually where Pinocchio lived!
If we have got to the Park at opening time we try to get the restaurant just before the rush for lunch starts as this restaurant gets very busy and noisy. This also gives us an opportunity to get a table overlooking the boats of Its a Small World.
They do a good children’s menu here called Kid’ s Picks. All meals include choice of 2 side items: carrot sticks, grapes or apple sauce plus a choice of 1% Mickey Milk, small bottled water, or apple juice. I believe on of these can be substituted for French Fries although we have never yet done this. Our youngest always but always has Macaroni and Cheese whilst the older girl has the Turkey and Cheese Roll-up or Peanut Butter and Jelly. They normally finish their meal with a delicious Chocolate pudding.
Last time we went my Mother was not very hungry so she had Figaro Fries served with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato, I must admit the portion was not small and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
My Father likes their Pizza Combo Meals. This is an individual pizza, you have a choice of vegetable cheese or pepperoni, and they are served with a tossed salad.
They do two great salads, a Caesar or a Mediterranean both of which I have had in the past and enjoyed. However on our last visit I had Grilled Turkey and Bacon Panini, this comprised of turkey, bacon, roasted red peppers, tomato and basil on multigrain bread served with chips and was delicious.
Their desserts include Chocolate Cake, Cannoli, or Strawberry Cheesecake but be prepared to share them because they are quite large.
After our lunch we usually have a gentle ride on It’s a Small World before taking our younger girl to listen to Storytime with Belle.
