Paul’s Florida diary Day 4 morning
Paul’s Florida diary Day 4 am.
Time for a change today I am informed when I get up. We are going to typhoon lagoon as Karlie has never been no problem there I say I love the Disney water parks plus I think I prefer typhoon lagoon over blizzard beach as the rides are more to my taste.
We arrive there just after opening time and its pretty busy to be honest mind you the weather is perfect sunny and hot and its only just gone 10am, time to rent a locker and have some fun
Although were using factor 50 sun block I don’t want to get burnt so keep my old faded water park tee shirt on just in case, we find a spot to pot our towels on the beach area and head off to the Crush Gusher which I reckon is the best ride in the park
It’s a water ride as you may of guessed as in Typhoon lagoon you have to go in pairs and you go through a series of downhill tube some in the dark its pretty quick and throws you around a lot
We collected our ring and climbed up the stairs and into the line, Shirley sat on the front of the tube and I sat on the back as I was the heaviest and then Shirley says to the guy just as were about to set off “ not sure if I want to do this” great timing I thought
The light turned green and were off and I can honestly say all the way down as we twisted and turned and jumped and bumped Shirley screamed the whole time culminating in a big splash as we exited the tubes and into the pool at the end the Disney photographer took an awesome shot of this which of course I posted on Facebook hehehehe
As the sun got stronger and stronger through out the day we had to reapply more sun cream at one point the sun was that hot we had to run across the sand in order to avoid burning our feet and even the concrete got so hot
After floating around the lazy river we decided that we would go on the family raft ride Gang plank falls which is great fun all four of us in a huge inflated ring swooshing down the rapids. After that we decide to ride on the storm rider solo slides as we climbed the hilly path we came to bridges over the water these bridges were constructed out of a wood lookalike plastic and by midday they were boiling you literally had to run over them as they were so hot they would burn your feet, we were feeling tierd and getting a bit hungry…. . lunch?
