The Parrot Jungle Experience
Are you thinking of spending a few days sight-seeing elsewhere in Florida, maybe Miami? Apart from the excellent Miami beaches, which are a must, why not take yourselves and the children to the magical Parrot Jungle Island. Parrot Jungle has over 3, 000 exotic animals set in a beautiful tropical garden. As well as 1, 100 birds, there are turtles, alligators and amphibians. Be sure to see the 21ft crocodile as well as the rare albino alligator! The parrot bowl seats 1200 people and features world famous bird shows. Manu Encounter is an aviary with over 200 parrots and macaws.
In the “Everglades Habitat” a river of grass has been created with all its wildlife. There are many shows going on in the park from Winged Wonders to Wild Encounter. Most shows are only about 20 minutes long so children won’t get bored. Please make sure you get there early otherwise you won’t have time to see everything!
Would you like to do more than stroll around the Jungle? Then take a 90 minute “VIP Safari”. This is a guided tour of the animals with their trainers. The price includes lunch and a souvenir tee shirt as well as free park admission and full access to the hippo slide. This is a new attraction. The price for the safari is $240 per adult plus tax and $120 per child plus tax. If you wish to reserve a VIP Safari, ring the Sales Department at 305.400.7220. Parrot Jungle will provide special prices for groups of 20 or more guests if necessary.
Admission to the park is $27.95 plus tax per adult and $22.95 plus tax per child. Parking is $7 per car.
For all your shopping needs ‘Tropical Basics’ is located at the entrance to the park. This store offers many products for your everyday needs and also souvenirs. ‘Kidz Cove’ is especially for kids with toys, puzzles and games as well as clothing and treats. There is also a game room which has all types of games from air hockey, video games and child rides for all ages.
When the time comes to feed the hungry hoards you cannot do better than visit the lakeside café overlooking Flamingo Lake. It offers indoor and outdoor seating. There is a variety of freshly made food which includes salads, sandwiches and wraps with a special menu for children, so nobody need go hungry!
Parrot Jungle Island is located at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, off 395, between downtown Miami and South Beach.
