Old Town
Probably the brightest place on the US192, Old Town at night is lit with the most wonderful display of coloured lights and fluorescent lights. The Sling Shot can be seems from miles around with its brightly coloured fluorescent lights making it easy to find.
Old Town as more than 70 shops and 8 restaurants for you to explore. They sell a whole host of goods, from Electronics to License Plates. There’s definitely something here fore everyone when it comes to shopping, including a British Shop selling good old British food (Heinz Beans, HP Sauce) There’s an haunted house too, although we tend to walk on the other side of the street when we get near, as you never know what might leap out of that place!
The Old Town Ice Cream Company sell some of the nicest frozen desserts you can find. A great place to enjoy snack whilst you watch the world pass by. Fancy an Ice Cold Beer? Visit the Blue Max Tavern. Relaxed atmosphere and all are welcome, a variety of ice cold beers, Karaoke nights, Texas Hold’em nights and Motorcycle nights bring in the crowds.
Pizza, Burgers, Chinese and good old American food can all be found amongst the stores here. Parking is free and there’s plenty of it. A very popular place for families, especially at the weekend.
Thursday night is Motorcycle Nite, approximately 700 bikes are on display and the varieties are just out of this world. You don’t have to have your own bike to admire these fantastic machines. Live music is also played on these nights. So whether you’re in to bikes, leather or both, come on down and take a look
Friday night is Cruise Nite, where classic cars are paraded up and down the street from 9pm onwards in a display of pure beauty for all you classic car lovers. Cars on display are built from 1973 to 1987 and they also show other custom and exotic modified cars. During the summer months, there’s also a live band playing each Friday night.
Saturday night is Cruise Nite, similar to the Friday Nite Cruise but this is organised by the Old Town Cruiser Association. Cars on display are built from 1972 onwards. Just another excuse to go back and see some beautiful and well kept cars.
Now something for the kids, over 18 rides for them to enjoy. A classic Ferris Wheel for the whole family will get your night off to a flying start, over 60ft high, you can see Kissimmee from a different angle. The Sling Shot is not for the faint hearted but if your willing, then let them catapult you 365 feet in to the air if you dare! Laser Tag, The Bull, and The Windstorm are just a few of the rides here.
