Old Town Fun - Kissimmee
Be sure to visit and stop by Old Town in central Florida on US 192. It’s Florida’s highest ranked free admission attraction! It offers fun and entertainment for the whole family and is located in Kissimmee, just minutes away from the area theme parks. Parking is free and hosts themed restaurants, loads of shopping, thrilling rides, classic car shows every week, motorcycle cruses and live music. This is a must see and a memorable day out for all ages.
Restaurants offer a diversity of menus to satisfy everyone’s tastes from classic hamburgers to root beer floats at the A&W All American Food diner, served the way it used to be in the old days. If you fancy Chinese, Italian or Greek cuisine, you’ll find this too! Don’t forget to visit the Ice Cream Company for dessert.
Visitors are plentiful, and you’ll hear many British voices at the 75 speciality shops as it is located in the heart of the tourist area of US192. You will find many boutiques for sportswear, collectibles and souvenirs and designer outfits as well as costumes, jewellery and Disney merchandise all at affordable prices. Don’t forget to pick up your Old Town souvenir soda bottle for only 25 cents – a collector’s must have!
Eighteen rides are offered to visitors of Old Town, which takes up four city blocks. The Windstorm Roller Coaster features 1,437 feet of track, force of 2.7 G’s and fun for those wanting a truly thrilling ride. Fun Town is perfect for kids with a Merry-Go-Round, Tea Cups and the Express Train.
Friday Nite Cruise features restored CLASSIC CARS dating from the 1970’s to the 1980’s and is not to be missed! The cars and trucks have been painstakingly restored, polished and refurbished to immaculate condition. The owners drive the prised possessions at crawling speed, showing off their beautiful vehicles. You can also view and take photos of the vehicles, which stretch out around the park, commenting on your favourites! It attracts more than 300 classic cars, hot rods, street rods and antiques.
Thursday night from 7 pm to 11 pm, stroll among over 700 of the finest central Florida’s motorcycles. Enjoy dancing in the streets to live music or win loads of prizes.
June features Rumba Sundays with live music, beads, prizes and Latin food t the main stage from 2pm to 8pm.
This June 3, 2006 Saturday Nite Cruise turns ‘Sweet 16’ so come and celebrate!
