Night Time at the Parks - Part 2
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
After dark, there is s magnificent laser show called Fantasmic. This is set in a vast arena with plenty of seating. A mountain has been built with a moat around it and at the beginning Micky Mouse appears dressed in his Wizard’s costume from Fantasia. He conducts the music and the laser show and the sky is alight with lasers. Then, a series of floats go past on the water with all the Disney characters on board. This is a show which is subject to the weather and will not play on wet or stormy nights.
During the Christmas season they have the Osborne Lights (nothing to do with Ozzy) which are millions of lights which all dance in synchronisation to Christmas lights. Millions of glittering lights perfectly synchronized to Christmas music in an awe-inspiring seasonal treat for the entire family. Brilliant multi-coloured bulbs wrap the buildings, changing hues and brightness throughout the show. A sea of twinkling lights form twirling carousels of angels, toy soldiers, a spinning Earth, and even Santa and his reindeer. It’s something you have to see to believe! Artificial snow comes down as carolers sing. This is really magical for all ages.
Sea World
After dark at Sea World Summer nights has the night time Shamu Rocks show, a high energy rock and roll show which is quite different from the day time shows and Clyde and Seamore have a special evening show too. At Christmas time the lake which hosts the waterskiing in the summer transforms into an ice skating rink, surrounded by silver Christmas trees and fountains. This takes place after dark only and is absolutely beautiful.
Universal Studios
City walk has lots of night clubs and dining experiences where the energetic can go after the park closes. There is the Blue Man Group and Hard Rock Live. This has “The superstars. The legends. The icons”, they all take the stage and you can catch the biggest names in music and comedy live in concert.
Downtown Disney

Moving into West Side you will pass restaurants and bars serving all different types of food from fish and chips at Raglan Road to Planet Hollywood for the best burgers in town. This area is being updated at the moment and will be something very special when it is finished, with bars and romantic walk ways by the lake.
