New at Disney 2010
Disney never seem to sit back and be content to just go along with what they have already achieved they are always keen to satisfy their existing visitors even more as well as attracting new visitors.
In early June 2010 they intend to bring back the Main Street Electrical Parade at Magic Kingdom which was such a favourite amongst its visitors. This time the Parade will have Tinker Bell leading the way as well as Snow White and Pinocchio joining the Parade.
At Magic Kingdom they will also have a new fireworks spectacular.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is being revamped with new lighting effects as well as a new drop sequence. I thought the old one was bad enough but at least then I knew what to expect!
The ever popular “Sounds Like Summer” concert series returns to Epcot. I believe Disney’s Animal Kingdom evening hours may be extended in the summer months.
Of course the biggest change of all is the Fantasyland Expansion and the three year project to build this will start in 2010. When complete visitors will be able to step into their favourite Disney fairy tales with the Disney princesses. Each princess will have her own themed village within Fantasyland Forest; little girls are going to love this.
At Dreams Come True with Cinderella, visitors can meet Cinderella face to face in her country chateau, share a dance or train to be one of her Royal Knights.
At A Birthday Surprise for Sleeping Beauty, it is party time inside the Briar Rose Cottage which is set in the forest. Apparently the three good fairies give Aurora the Sweet 16 party she never had and everyone’s invited to join in the surprise celebration.
At Enchanted Tales with Belle an enchanted mirror will transport guests from Belle’s father’s cottage to the Beast’s castle for storytelling.
You will also find the Be Our Guest Restaurant, one of three dining rooms inside the Beast’s castle. Just outside the castle in Belle’s Village will be Gaston’s Tavern which is another themed eatery.
In the new Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction, Ariel and all her friends will entertain visitors in a ride-through adventure featuring favorite songs from the popular animated feature, I can almost hear the music now.
The big top comes to Dumbo’s Flying Circus with a flight high above brand-new circus grounds, twice the size of the classic attraction.
I know the Fantasyland expansion will only get started in 2010 but I for one cannot wait for it to become complete.
